Abi is a Positive Psychology (PP) Practitioner with a particular interest in the resilience of children, young people and families who have faced significant adversity.
Holding a Bachelor’s of Science (Hons) degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP), Abi has a background of working within the social care industry at both support and Management levels.
She currently sits on the steering group for the ASPIRE programme, a PP intervention being designed and piloted by the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Trust for families with Adverse Childhood Experiences, and is a keen NHS volunteer gardener. Recently trained in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH), she is busy developing a voluntary community programme combining PP and STH in Buckinghamshire.
Abi has thrived throughout her own lived experiences of significant adversity including lone parenthood, homelessness, mental health issues and domestic abuse, and now feels very proud to be expecting her fourth child with her wonderful partner, Adam.
