A Mum of 3 neurodivergent children, I soon realised I am neurodivergent myself! I was diagnosed with ADHD in early 2024.
I founded a support group named The Lookout after my son went through a really tough time at school I realised there must be other parents/carers out there who were floundering like me. We serve families of SEND children, offering support and advice as well as a weekly family session where both the children and parents/carers can come and be their authentic selves.
Through this I found the Positive Psychology network and completed the Level 3 in Neurodiversity & Inclusion. I am using this to build up the knowledge of local parents and show that neurodivergence isn’t a negative, instead it is a wonderful difference that should be nurtured.
I am also training in schools, with a view to also deliver to workplaces, prisons and more.
I love my work, and I love being a small part of a big change. I can’t wait to see what the future will bring!
