Jennifer Gervès-Keen, MA, MCEC, PPG Cert
Jennifer Gervès-Keen is an award-winning executive coach, facilitator and speaker who is known for her direct, honest approach, her humour and her positive energy. Winner of three gold medals in the international Brandon Hall Excellence Awards in 2022 for coaching skills program design, Jennifer holds the Master Corporate Executive Coach designation, a designation measured on the ability of being an enterprise-wide business partner. In 2023, Jennifer became certified in Neurodiversity and Inclusion and is a passionate advocate for creating and maintaining more inclusive neurodiverse work environments.
Her innate business acumen and her in-depth knowledge of organizational dynamics coupled with her international experience make her unique in the coaching profession. A published author, Jennifer has received rave reviews for her first book, Show Up Like A Coach, which walks the reader through how to use coaching skills to become a better communicator, both at work and at home. A Certified Mentor Coach, Jen designs in-house coaching programs and related training for clients who wish to become better leaders and coaches through learning coaching skills.
A sought-after consultant and coach, Jennifer is committed to her clients’ success and works as a true enterprise-wide business partner as she leaves a positive impact on the entirety of every organization she works with. Continually fascinated by humanity’s forces and flaws, she views the world as a grand experiment and is always interested in exploring the motivations behind human behaviour. Jen’s sweet spot is identifying behavioural patterns, and helping individuals and teams navigate their environments through effective communication and self-advocacy. She is particularly skilled at designing powerful, interactive leadership and coaching training programs, and working with executives to enhance their leadership through candid coaching and providing a different perspective.
An enthusiastic lifelong learner and a huge believer in the power of words, she completed her master’s degree in Adult Learning & Development during her years in France, participating in one of the first global online learning platforms. Upon her return to Canada in 2005, Jennifer became a certified coach, and won the prestigious ICF Prism Award for excellence in organizational coaching in 2014 with one of her clients, a global professional services firm. At the end of 2019, Jen received the Certified Change Management Practitioner (CCMP) designation from the Association of Project Managers Group International (APMG).
To create organizational learning experiences that make a real impact and ensure greater skill retention, Jennifer started exploring neuroscience and its’ connection to leadership behaviour in 2013 and has since made it a foundational pillar of all her program content and design. Jen is also fascinated by the concept of Followership and will be speaking at the International Conference for Followership in Glasgow in 2024.
Jennifer strongly believes that making a positive impact on organizations through effective leadership is one way of successfully navigating the constant challenges people face today. To that end, she dedicates time to select non-profit organizations, including Covenant House and the Richmond Public Library Board.
A well-known and reputed key-note speaker, Jen systematically gets rave reviews from her conference presentations and is looking forward to more in-person appearances in 2024 after three years of presenting virtually.
