About Professional Membership

PPG Professional Membership is for Certified Positive Psychology Practitioners and Certified Strengths-Based Practitioners (Autism & Neurodiversity) using Positive Psychology-informed approaches who engage clients in one or more of the following modes of practice and are certified accordingly to do so: Coaching, Training, Facilitation, Research.

Professional Membership benefits include:

  • Guidelines and code of ethics for professional practice
  • Professional networking with other registered practitioners
  • Listing on the Register of Practitioners so clients can find you
  • Liability and insurance coverage (UK practitioners only)
  • Access to membership & CPD events at discounted rates (some are free)
  • Option to contribute to PPG PP Centre Journal and white paper series
  • 10% discount on future PPG Academy courses and certifications
  • Discounted access to the Journal of Positive Psychology

How to Apply

Applications take up to 2 weeks to be processed.

If your application is approved, you will receive an automated payment link. Following payment, you will be given access to the PPG Membership Site via a personal login page.

PPG Professional Membership Application Instructions

To apply, you should hold one of the below certifications (see B1, B2). We also offer a case-by-case review process for applicants who hold other certifications not listed here (see B3).

B1 – Approved Certifications for Positive Psychology Practice

  • PPG Level 3 Certificate Positive Psychology Practice
  • PPG Level 5 Diploma Positive Psychology Practice (Coaching)
  • PPG Level 5 Diploma Positive Psychology Practice (Training)
  • PPG Level 5 Diploma Positive Psychology Practice (Organisations)
  • PPG Level 7 Diploma / Certificate Applied Positive Psychology Research
  • University Masters Degree Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) 
  • University PhD in Positive Psychology

B2 – Approved Certifications for Strengths-Based Practice

  • PPG Level 3 Certificate Neurodiversity & Inclusion (Train the Trainer)
  • PPG Level 5 Diploma Autism in Research, Theory & Practice (Managers & Practitioners)

B3 – Case-by-Case Reviews

If you do not meet the criteria for B1 or B2, you will be asked to describe briefly in the application form how you are certified to practice Positive Psychology. For example, you may hold a certification in Positive Psychology plus a further certification in an approved mode of practice (coaching, training, facilitation, or research) where you apply your Positive Psychology knowledge.  You will also be asked to list the exact title/s of your certification/s and certification provider name.
